We want everyone to experience the joy that comes from a healthy lifestyle. Unfortunately, our community is in trouble. Only 22% of Appalachian Kentuckians eat enough fruit and vegetables, and about half to two-thirds of us report getting no exercise.

Our community can do better, and we're offering a new program that aims to accomplish just that. Healthy, Well-Thee, & Wise puts the emphasis on small changes and good times; anyone eight years old and up can learn about nutritious and delicious recipes, fun physical activities, and easy ways to improve our lifestyles, one step at a time. It's called Energy Balance, and we're confident that once we start paying attention to the caloric energy we consume and the physical energy we put out, we'll be able to eat better, feel better, and live better.
