Faith Moves Mountains began as a cervical cancer prevention project organized by the University of Kentucky. Due to its exceptional efficacy, it branched into breast and colorectal cancer prevention and launched a smoking cessation program and an energy balance program in 2008.

We know that the power to change a community for the better lies within the community itself. That's why we work to empower Kentuckians to bring wellness to themselves and those around them. Faith-based and community-centered, FMM owes its success to the Appalachian people who implement and participate in its programs. We collaborate with churches of various denominations in six Kentucky counties, and the pastors and congregational members of these faith communities have welcomed us in with the most generous of hearts. Whether it is by serving as lay health advisers, interviewers, or recruiters, community members ensure that our message of good health and good life is heard.

If you would like Faith Moves Mountains to come to your faith community, please don't hesitate to contact us.
